Quantization in algebra and topology

I’m planning on running an informal seminar on quantization during summer 2021: the goal is to study quantization from a modern perspective in its various forms. Here is a tentative list of topics.

The meetings will be on Zoom (email me if you are interested in joining), but let me know if you are in Cambridge and would like to talk in person. I will type up notes and post them on this page. Warning: there are almost certainly mistakes in these notes! (I do have typed notes for Talks 8 and 12 below, but I’m not planning to post them here.)

Talk 1: overview (June 8).

Talk 2: Kontsevich’s theorem, part one (Charles Fu) (June 15). These are my own notes, written independently and covering less ground than Charles’ notes.

Talk 3: Kontsevich’s theorem, part two (Ben Gammage) (June 22).

Talk 4: Bogomolov-Tian-Todorov, following Katzarkov-Kontsevich-Pantev (June 29).

Talk 5: Hodge-de Rham degeneration (July 6).

Talk 6: Noncommutative Hodge-de Rham degeneration (July 13).

Talk 7: Cyclotomic spectra (July 20).

Talk 8: Miscellanea on KKP (July 27).

Talk 9: Koszul duality and deformation quantization (August 3).

Talk 10: Nekrasov’s Omega-deformation (August 10).

Talk 11: Frobenius-constant quantizations (August 17).

Talk 12: Weak cyclotomic structures and Frobenius-constant quantizations (August 24).

Talk 13: Partition Lie algebras (Lukas Brantner) (August 31).
